The ability to add apps to the windows start apps list has been added to the app right click menu. when you add icons to your desktop, you create shortcuts to folders or programs such as your recycle. You can add icons to your desktop in windows 10 and more easily access system folders or apps. if you’re a student or new user looking for a windows computer to use, the easiest place. these are the folder shortcuts you can add or remove from the new start menu: settings, file explorer, documents, downloads, music, pictures, videos, network, and personal folder. Windows 11 improves on the new start menu area to include more shortcuts to folders that can easily be accessed and launched. except for the power button, we see no folder. In windows 10, folders like settings, file explorer are added to the start menu by default above the power button. in the example below, i turned on quite a few of them.
The next time you launch your start menu, you will have the folders you turned on in order at the bottom of the menu next to the power button.
